Rooted in the heart of Loveville, Maryland, we are dedicated to guiding young girls, teens, and young women as they grow into strong, confident, and compassionate leaders. Our mission is to create a safe, empowering space where young women are seen, heard, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive—academically, socially, emotionally, and professionally.

Through intentional mentorship, leadership development workshops, and meaningful community engagement, we help participants discover their authentic voice, build unshakable confidence, and embrace the uniqueness that sets them apart. At Be You Original, we believe leadership begins with self-awareness, courage, and community—and we are committed to nurturing all three.

Our mission

At Be You Original, our mission is to empower confident, purpose-driven young women through mentorship, guidance, and community support. We nurture self-esteem, strengthen leadership skills, and help each young woman boldly embrace her unique identity and potential.

Mentoring services

Since 2019, Be You Original has provided intentional mentoring experiences tailored to the unique needs of young girls, teens, and young women. Our approach is personalized, empowering, and purpose-driven—focused on helping each participant recognize her strengths and step confidently into her full potential. We offer practical, results-focused support designed to foster growth, resilience, and long-term success.

We also provide thoughtfully designed programs that educate, empower, and equip girls and young women with real-world tools and life skills to help them grow into confident, capable, and impactful leaders:

  • Banking & Financial Literacy: Teaching young ladies ages 14–18 how to create and maintain bank ledgers, manage money responsibly, and understand the value of financial planning.
  • Credit Knowledge & Responsibility: Introducing the basics of credit, creditworthiness, and long-term financial decision-making.
  • Educational Achievement & Advancement: Encouraging academic excellence, goal setting, and preparation for future educational pathways.
  • Mock Job Interviews: Supporting young women ages 15–18 with professional development, interview etiquette, and workforce readiness.
  • Healthy Self-Love & Body Image: Addressing body dysmorphia and helping participants cultivate healthy, positive self-perceptions.
  • Positive Communication: Guiding young ladies ages 16–18 to model and practice uplifting, constructive communication with peers ages 12–15.
  • Social Media Etiquette: Teaching responsible online behavior, digital citizenship, and the long-term impact of one’s digital footprint.
  • Hygiene & Appropriate Attire: Providing guidance on self-care, personal presentation, and age-appropriate dress.
  • Healthy Relationships: Exploring family, peer, workplace, and romantic relationships, with an emphasis on respect, boundaries, and emotional well-being.
  • Physical & Mental Health Awareness: Educating participants on holistic health, recognizing abuse, and accessing support when needed.
  • Continuing Education Support: Assisting with college and trade school applications, including writing entrance statements and exploring career options.
  • Healthy Eating, Exercise & Self-Care: Promoting wellness through balanced nutrition, physical activity, and positive daily habits.
  • Empowerment & Positivity: Encouraging young women to uplift one another, embrace their individuality, and maintain a confident, optimistic outlook.
